Job: Rural Banker Area: Tasman
Alexis has completed a Bachelor of Agricultural Business Degree at Lincoln University and is now working in a field based partner role with BNZ as an AgriGrad.
NZ Young Farmers Involvement:
Alexis has been involved with NZ Young Farmers since 2009, when she was the Chairperson of the Sacred Heart New Plymouth TeenAg Club. She continued her involvement while at University, becoming a member of the Lincoln University Young Farmers Club and holding the position of Vice Chairperson in 2011, and Chairperson in 2012.
"I've had Lincoln set as my University of choice since 5th form, so my TeenAg involvement was more of a help with my networking and scholarships than my career decisions."
Alexis currently plans to continue to grow her knowledge within banking, specialising in rural banking.
Alexis recognises her parents as the biggest influences on her career, for introducing her to different industry professionals that have helped her realise where she wants to go.
Bill Barwood is a great role model, and has help to instill more confidence in Alexis.
