Maddy Hampton

Job: Animal & Plant Scientist     Area: Tasman

Maddy is currently in her first year at Lincoln University, studying a Bachelor of Agricultural Science Degree. 

NZ Young Farmers Involvement:

Maddy completed the In2 the Field Programme in 2012, spending a day with LIC agent Millie Vlockman. She was a volunteer at the 2013 Get Ahead Career Experience Day, and a judge for the 2013 Aorangi Regional Finals of TeenAg and AgriKidsNZ. She is currently a member of the Lincoln Young Farmers Club. 

"My involvement in the NZ Young Farmers programmes has made me more interested in the animal side of Agriculture. I would love a job that's involved in or around Young Farmers."

The Plan:
At the moment the plan is just for Maddy to complete her Bachelor of Agricultural Science Degree with a Major in Animal Science and a Minor in Plant Science.

Influence's/Role Models:
The greatest influence on Maddy's career decision to date was the Lincoln University Open Day. 

Skiing, horse riding, and hockey.
